It’s almost here! This year’s spring break is slated for April 18 to April 25. It’s a time to relax and just let loose. With the long-awaited spring break nearly one month away many ask, what is there to do on spring break?
Whether you’re looking to go far or just a couple hours away, Wildcat Word has gathered a list of great places for your spring break getaway!
Beach:
Looking for all the fun and excitement spring break has to offer? Then you should be packing your bags and head to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Myrtle Beach is basically Miami during spring break. From the beautiful beach to the great entertainment like jet skiing, to the great nightlife, Myrtle Beach is fun and exciting to people of all ages.
Love the beach but want to get away from the spring break madness? Then Outer Banks, North Carolina is where you need to be. Outer Banks has everything a busy spring break destination should have minus all the people. It is a great place to enjoy the time off. Outer Banks is only a half an hour away from Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic beach, but still offers a laid back feel. If you want to take a stroll around the boardwalk or learn to surf Outer Banks is a great vacation destination.
Quaint:
Rockport, Massachusetts is for those people who love the peace and quiet and the inviting feel of the countryside. Rockport is a charming little town that is one hour from Boston. Relax and allow the ocean side atmosphere take you away. Here you can ride along on a lobster trap run, take a boat to Thatcher Island and browse through the shops and art galleries.
Local:
If you don’t plan on shipping off anywhere this spring break then there are some fun local opportunities for your entertainment. During our spring break week Six Flags New England will be having local bands perform live on their stage. So if you’re into Indie bands or if you play with one, then sign up.
In Six Flags New Jersey, Stride Gum will be hosting spring break activities at the New Jersey Park everyday from April 16 – 24 from 10:30 am to 8 pm.
Also, the weekend after, on April 29 through April 31, The Bamboozle Festival will be happening in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The line – up is great and some of the artist include, Lil’ Wayne, Bruno Mars, The Ready Set, Thirty Seconds To Mars and many more.
