Nikki Shaner-Bradford, sophomore at Bethel High School, has thoroughly embraced the art department here at BHS. So much so that the Art Department has decided to nominate her as The Wildcat Word’s Artist of the Month. The talented artist, who previously attended Wooster School in Danbury, is a member of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) and is an active participant of the special events that the society helps with. In addition to her work with the NAHS, the artist is also a dedicated art student who has taken various advanced art courses. Both Mrs. Overmier and Mrs. Bogart have said that Shaner-Bradford has thrived in their Art II, Honors Studio Art, and AP Art History classes.

The sophomore has also help bring art to various other mediums, such as the BHS literary magazine Mirage and the online portfolio Digication. Shaner-Bradford worked previously as the Art Editor for the school’s magazine and has relayed her fervor for art towards the new portfolio site, which allows students to showcase their work on the electronic site. This devoted artist will surely have many more accomplishments to come with her drive and passion for the arts.
