Agatha Christie’s piece “The Mysterious Affair at Styles” is a murder mystery novel.
The book takes place in England during World War I and the story begins when Hastings is sent back to England from the First World War due to injury and is requested to spend his sick leave at Styles Court. Despite the untroubled surroundings, Hastings begins to recognize that all is not right. When Mrs. Inglethorp is found poisoned, misgiving falls on the family, and another old friend, Hercule Poirot, is invited to investigate.
“The Wisdom of Father Brown” by G.K. Chesterton is a collection of twelve stories for any reader who loves solving mysteries.
‘Father Brown’ is a catholic priest who always carries a large umbrella with him, a loose priest outfit and has an inept understanding of human nature.
The tales in this book follow Father Brown as he solves many mysteries and murders, somehow always being able to find the culprit.
