BHS Alumni Find Great Success
June 8, 2012
Unbeknownst to many students and staff members, Bethel High School is home to many famous alumni.
Greg Sutton graduated from BHS in 1994 and has since gone on to play professional soccer for the Montreal Impact. As a student, Sutton played soccer and basketball, excelling in both.
Assistant Principal Mr. Chris Troetti recalls Sutton as an “outstanding athlete. All American in ’95.” Troetti adds that aside from his obvious strength as an athlete, Sutton was also a “very strong student.”
In 1994, Bethel High School graduated Seth Grahame Smith, New York Times best selling author of Pride, Prejudice and Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
As a student, Smith was involved in the theatre department. Bethel Middle School Principal Ms. Pam Chapman, describes Smith as a “popular kid.”
Chapman taught Smith in her sophomore honors English class. She claims he was, “very creative, but I didn’t suspect what was ahead.”
Seth Grahame Smith and Greg Sutton have both proved to lead very successful lives. Their success can easily provide inspiration to us all.
