Bethel Community Tag Sale

Do you have piles of old clothing taking up space in your closet that you’re dying to get rid of? Are you part of a business looking to do some more community outreach in the Bethel area? Are you a craft vendor looking for a place to sell your homemade gems?

Well,  look no further than the upcoming 4th annual Bethel community tag sale to be held on Saturday May 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the upper parking lot at Bethel High School, 300 Whittlesey Dr, Bethel, CT 06801. The event is hosted by the BHS class of 2020.

Vendors can rent a “spot” at the tag sale for $25, which reserves your spot to sell tag sale items, crafts, baked goods, etc. The tag sale will be advertised online and around town. Vendors will keep their own profits!  Sellers at the community tag sale are responsible for all equipment, such as tables and chairs and must take all unsold items with them at the end of the event. Vendor set-up is from 7:45 a.m.-9 a.m.  and the tag sale is open to the public from  9 a.m.-3p.m. The rain date is the following day, Sunday May 7.

“The community tag is is a wonderful event and each year the turnout has grown tremendously. We expect the same for this year and appreciate the support of the Bethel community,” says Kristen Ricciardone, one of the freshman class advisors.

If you have nothing to sell, but would still like to participate in the community tag sale, admission to shop is free, so come on down to see what kind of gems the people of the Bethel community are selling. The community tag sale is a great way to bring the people of Bethel together in a fun, but functional way and you could walk away with a new homemade item or gently used household staple, all while supporting the class of 2020.

Interested vendors should visit: https://goo.gl/forms/MMw2Txs7mbb2AML72 to read tag sale rules and fill out the online form.  Checks should be made out to “The Class of 2020 Student Activity Fund”.  Payment is non-refundable.

Also, any students in need of community service hours can sign up to help out at the tag sale.
