Spring is for Golf Team
April 13, 2012
Spring has sprung and the Bethel golf team is ready to step onto the course. The team started off the season with a win against Notre Dame.
There are five seniors on the team this year, which makes this a strong year. The seniors are captain Jack Moriarty and captain Mike Kaluta, Brian Debacher, Aaron Zalcman, and Henry Miller.
“In the past, we’ve been rebuilding the team, but this year we’re hoping to come out on top because we have five seniors. We would like to make it to SWCs,” said Moriarty (’12).
The overall goal of the season is to make it to SWCs, but that may be difficult. Debacher (’12) said, “We’re off to a slow start, because its early in the season and we’re not playing up to our potentials yet.”
So far, the golf team has won one game and suffered two losses. Their home matches are at Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown Connecticut.
Their next match is on Monday April 16 against Immaculate High at Richter Park in Danbury, Connecticut.
