Two BHS Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Patrick Hannagan, Sports Writer

The Wildcat Word wants to congratulate Cal Daniels ‘14 and Ian Melvin ‘14 who recently signed letters of intent to continue playing football at the college level next year! Both players had key roles in the Wildcat’s outstanding season and look to be part of two solid NCAA Division 1 football programs.

Melvin, the team’s center, will be attending Cornell University, a school that is part of the NCAA’s renown Ivy League. Ivy League schools are known for their outstanding reputation in athletics and education.

Daniels, who is primarily a tight end yet extremely talented in many other positions, will be attending Stony Brook University. Daniels’ ability to play multiple positions such as tight end or fullback will surely help the team’s strong program.

Mr. Tatto, Bethel High’s Athletic Director, said “Congratulations to Cal Daniel and Ian Melvin. Both signed Letters of Intent.”

Good luck to both players in their future careers.

Go Wildcats!
