It’s the end of the year, Mr. Wildcat was a success, as was the Senior Show The juniors had a great time at their prom, senior prom is approaching and the DECA fashion show is in a couple days. The upcoming DECA fashion show will be on Tuesday, May 31st in the Bethel High School auditorium. This will be the second annual fashion show in Bethel High DECA program.

Last year’s show was a success and this year is promised to be one as well. DECA president Maria Anaya, Mrs. Fildes and the DECA members, have been working on this show for months now and now they’re making the last adjustments for Tuesday’s show.

“Putting on a show this big, there are a lot of small details. We have over fifty models, so we’re trying to coordinate where the models get fitted, what days they have to be fitted and make sure everything is picked up and organized,” explains Mrs. Fildes.

“This year’s show will feature great musical talent. The finale is always the formal wear scene, which is a surprise,” says Mrs. Fildes. “It is set around the theme of the different bureaus of New York, so each scene will have a different mood to portray the different places in New York City.”

The idea for this year’s theme came from Maria Anaya, president of Bethel High’s DECA, and her committee. Maria and Miguel Pereira will host this year’s show.

Even if you are not necessarily into fashion, the DECA fashion show will have music and raffles, and it is a good way to show support to your classmates and DECA. Tickets for this year’s show on Tuesday, May 31st, are being sold during lunch for $5.00 and will be sold at the door for $8.00. It will be a great show, and a good way to end the year, so come support the club and check out the new fashion and music, and maybe even win something.
