Mixed Emotions
June 8, 2012
The class of 2012 graduates in 5 days and seniors are beaming with excitement! At the same time though, there’s an air of sadness hovering in the halls, as some students just aren’t ready to say goodbye.
Much of the graduating class met in kindergarten; they’ve shared 12 years of memories. Senior, Lauren DeSimone states, “It’s been a long journey..it’ll be weird to leave.”
Other students got their roots in other districts, even other states, but are still reluctant to cut their ties with the Bethel class of 2012. Senior, Nestor Rodriguez, who moved from Texas two years ago, says, “From my first day of school to today, everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. Never have I formed such close bonds with people. It will be truly sad to say goodbye to all the amazing people I met and became close with.”
Senior Class President, Abdullah Hasan, also reflects on our time at BHS and realizes, “that our class has matured and bonded so much over time– especially over the course of this year. We have all become so close to each other that it will be evermore difficult to go our separate ways on June 13th.”
