Hi Carol, I did really bad on my SAT’s and I don’t think it’ll improve that much in the future. Can I still get into college? What are my options? -Scared Sally

Hi Sally! Of course you can still get into college! Test scores are not everything when applying to college. Every college places different emphasis on them. There are even some colleges that are test optional, and some that don’t accept test scores at all! You can apply to those schools if you like, and if there’s a school that requires tests that you’re absolutely in love with, I think you should go for it! Like I said, test scores aren’t everything so you should still try to apply even if you think your test scores aren’t the best. Visit http://www.fairtest.org/university/optional to see a list of test optional schools around the country! Also, just look into schools that have an average range that your score would fit into. I promise the SAT is not as important as it’s hyped up to be. Good luck on your college search, and no matter what happens, you can and will do great things!

Best wishes,

Carol

Hi Carol, I need help. I have a boyfriend but I’m cheating on him with another boy. I’m madly in love with the both of them. What do I do? -Confused and Torn

Hi C.T., this is a very sensitive topic. I understand that you feel you are truly in love with both boys, but I cannot and will not condone cheating. If you really care about these two boys you will be honest with the both of them about your actions. You cannot continue deceiving your current boyfriend. From then on I can’t tell you how exactly to handle the relationship. The reactions of your boyfriend will really decide where you head from here. All I can tell you for now is that if you really are madly in love with both of them like you say you are, you should stop cheating on your boyfriend and tell him the truth in order to respect his feelings.

Best wishes,

Carol
