Bethel High School’s National Honor Society, advised by Ms. Katherine Burke, inducted forty-three new members into their chapter at a ceremony held on November 22 in the BHS auditorium.
Family and friends gathered to see the induction, including speeches from President Max Allen, Vice President Jimmy Muthersbaugh, Secretary Leah Horvath and Treasurer Ben D’Amico. Mrs. Kateri Kenney was the guest speaker.
“I am incredibly proud of each inductee. I hope for each of them to further their academic goals as well as upholding the values of the society,” said National Honor Society President Max Allen.
Members of the National Honor Society work hard to maintain a high GPA and give back to the community by completing service hours. In order to be selected for the National Honor Society, applicants must fill out a lengthy application showing that they demonstrate all four pillars of the NHS: service, character, scholarship, and citizenship. Applicants are selected by a committee of teachers and faculty. Congratulations to all the inductees this year.
